The Intermission
The ones about clouds were written when friend and I were talking about clouds, The words just came to me and I had to write them down.
Lost In The Pond is not really as sad as it sounds. I was constructing thousands of little multicolored cards for our servicemen overseas, at the time, Each card had a small blue pond with a lily pad, a lotus and a frog. The card said "Thank You For Making The Pond A Little Calmer." The little frogs weren't sticking and the thousands of cards had to have each frog glued on by morning to go in the mail to arrive on schedule. I used rubber cement. I did not ventilate. Never do this. I was confused, disoriented and "Lost In The Pond" of glue and little bits of different colored paper when I wrote that.
"You Hate Me" was written about being a mother. It's about all the things we do for our kids and how little they seem to notice till they get sick or grow up.
