I just remembered something that I had to add here. When Tommy was about three months old they told me I could start trying him with fruit juice. I made a terrible mistake and gave him pineapple juice. I never thought about the high acid content of it. It gave him a bad tummy ache.
At the same time we were out for a walk one day and he dropped his pacifier. I never even thought about it. I didn't have that much experience with babies. I picked it up, wiped it on my shirt and gave it back to him. I know that was so stupid. He got a yeast infection in his mouth from that and had to deal with the tummy ache at the same time. He cried.
I called the ER and they said bring him in. I knew just how stupid I was when they explained to me what was wrong. He was better from the tummy ache before the day was out and soon healed from the other as well.
