Some older photos I don't think I've used.

There were some of Tom that I didn't use, simply because they were all starting to look alike and they continued no story line.

In April we were scheduled to leave. We had hired a U-Haul but we needed a driver. I was kind of iffy about driving across country on my own in a truck. Tom never did have a license. I was not letting him behind the wheel. He came home one day with Edward who said if we'd give him a free ride he'd do most of the driving. I wasn't sure about him but we really had no choice. We loaded up the truck with every thing we had collected in a year. Yes, there were a LOT of rocks. But there were other things as well like the washer, the TV I'd bought from St Vincent De Paul's thrift store. My book collection of course. All the Army stuff of Toms, our furniture that was ours and didn't belong to the apartment. The stuff we had "rescued" from the cellar that wasn't there according to the land lady and lets not forget my marvelous treadle sewing machine.

We had two cats and a dog and a cage for the cats. It was going to be an adventure if we ever got out of the driveway.
