This was a tiny suculent I bought about a year and a half ago. I bought that tiny cactus underneath it at the same time.
They both came in those little one inch pots. Now the suculent is huge and the cactus is still alive and bigger.
That's a shell you see that we picked up after Rita when Lake Livingston had to be semi drained till they could fix the damage to the dam. There were a lot of places that used to be covered with water that were dry enough to walk on them.
The white or brownish white is egg shells. I save them all and crush them a bit. I stuff them in the pots to discourage those huge black slugs we have here that eat everything.
