Shaker Orange Bread
1/4 c. margarine
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. orange marmalade
3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. orange extract
3/4 c. milk
Preheat to 350 degrees. (I did it all in food processor.) Cream margarine and
sugar. Add egg. Beat well. Stir in marmalade. Add flour, baking powder, salt
alternately with milk. Add extract. Pour into 2 loaf pans (8 1/2 x 4 1/2) which
are greased and floured. It's a limber batter. Bake 30-35 minutes. Use
toothpick/straw to test for doneness.
