Snow

I think most of these are from 2009.

On December 4th we had a bit of snow.

This didn't kill the plants. Later in the month we had the first really hard frost I've seen here.

A lot of folks lost plants and yet some you thought would have been killed didn't die.

The Hibiscus which in New York is called Rose of Sharon got zapped. I would have thought this would have survived but maybe its two different varieties of the same species.

 

 

This is my Hawaiian Woodrose plant. Those yellow flowers are the rudbekia. They survived of course.
