Touching
It's a funny word
with a world of meaning.
I used to be afraid to touch
at times I still am.
I want to touch the world.
but mostly
I just want to reach out
and touch you
to let you know that someone
cares that you live
that you are here
in this space
at this time.
Touching
can be done in anger
or in love
or not at all, but still
The best touching
is when two strangers
reach out towards
friendship.
