The loneliness surrounds me

I stare out the door
Hoping to see your little red neon
Parked at the curb
Wanting desperately to see you

Strolling up the walk
Shyly smiling, as though
You are afraid.
Afraid I will turn away from you
Reject you.

The memory of that first day
Is ever with me.
Clouds over filled the sky
Parting as if by magic
As you came up the walk.
Sunlight singled you out.
Your hair became liquid gold.

I rushed to you in nervous anxiety.
We collided
And in that moment
The miracle happened.
I, who never loved,
Was struck by the
Lightening of you!
Our souls were fused together
In that shining moment I became
The luckiest woman in the world.
I was complete.
I found me In you.

In your laughter,
I found happiness.
In your eyes,
I found love.
In your arms,
I found beauty.

Your fingertips touched me
My soul was ignited
The fire of passion
So long asleep
Now engulfed me.
The passion still rages
With in me.
I am consumed.
