Overtaken once again
By dreams I cannot alter
I wake.

A classroom
An exam
Science questions
I take the test
Not knowing
Any of the answers.

Your eyes
Burn into my depths
I do not know
The answers here, either.

Stupidity
Engulfs me
I search hurriedly
All the corners of my mind
Finding no answers.

There are no answers
In life, either
How am I not lovable?
I, who people tell me
Am so intelligent?
Your love escapes me
As the answers on the paper.

A fortune cookie
Hovers into view
The white tail of wisdom
Unfurls.
The words leap out
In glaring red.
