Unlocking Doors And On The Phone

He was listening to Grandma Baker. When he got a little older he liked to hang up the phone if I was talking on it. I don't know why. Maybe he just wanted my attention on him or maybe it was just the thought that people hung up phones and it looked like fun. It irritated my mother, who took it personally.

Grandma Hicks wouldn't let him take the phone, much as he tried.

If the phone rang he wanted to answer it so he could hang it up, I guess. The phone fascinated him.

I really liked that table. It had a fake marble top on it and it needed refinishing but I knew it was really almost done for. It was made in an odd way I thought. The legs were attached to a circle band of wood with a cross bar in the middle. The top of the table fastened to this frame by one screw only. It wasn't long before the table fell apart.

I think Grandma Hicks got him this snowsuit. I don't remember him ever wearing another one. He liked to go out.

He was in a hurry.

I had to put these here because they went with the phone one.

He learned how to unlock the front door. This was scary and I had to put the key somewhere else.

He was just too smart for his own good. He was turning the lights on and off here.

I kept the key on this cord here. I started putting it up higher when he began trying to unlock the door.

Nothing stopped him. He found a way. I eventually just put the key somewhere else and didn't hang it anymore.
