Both Mom and Dad smoked for years.

Enid doing the same. Looking back I recall they didn't always smoke the same "flavors" Sometimes if they couldn't afford it they would roll their own from cans of tobacco that were cheaper.

I remember a machine they used once. I think it was called Laredo but I could be wrong on that. They bought cans of tobacco and papers and I think you could even get filters. You assembled them in the trough and then pulled the handle and the assembled cigarette rolled out. Sometimes we even did it for them because we thought it was fun.

The empty cans were always saved to store things in whether it was buttons or seeds or coins.
