One day in the first year there we decided to go to the zoo. I think it was my idea but he did go along with it.
Don't laugh, the sign said duck billed platypus but that animal on the left snoozing opposite the platypus if that's what it really was looks more like a member of the cat family.
That stone wall behind him or her is not real and of course the trees are painted on it.
A white peafowl
Way down in the back we found flamingos.
That's a sun bear. I'm not sure but I think it may be obvious how they got named because that symbol on his chest looks like a sun burst. He's under a mango tree and the red object is a ripe one.
Rhino's
A gator. Between the public and them there was only a rickety bit of wood fencing made from slats like you'd see on a beach to slow the sand. It was not very safe if one of them got it in their heads to attack.
At the entrance to the zoo there was a real ratty looking thing that was supposed to be a stuffed bear. Time and the elements had not been good to it. I didn't waste film on it.
