Somewhere in the garden.

On one of our adventures took the bus up to Manitou Springs and worked our way back down to our place. In Manitou we hiked around town at first. I bought a lot of packs of chocolate candy that looked like gold nuggets and other gem stones. They looked more like them than they did like candy.

Then we headed for either Cave of the Winds or the Cliff Dwellings. Cave of the Winds was a real place that had been used by Indians for ceremonial events. They were actually afraid of the spirits inside the cave. The wind made noises as it passed through the tunnels.

We took the tour and went down inside here. I took some photos, most of which are lost but I didn't have a good camera and none of them looked good.

I'm putting some here that aren't mine just so you can see what it looked like. Most of them are from sites touting tourism of the area.

The Carrot Patch.

I do have some of mine still somewhere and if they turn up Ill add them here.

It was a little scary being that far underground. I was glad to get out of there. I didn't fear the "spirits" I just was feeling a little claustrophobic.

After there we hiked down Williams Canyon. Its a serpentine drive around and around till you reach the main highway.

This is at the bottom where we started on the next part of our hike.

This one probably belongs on the Garden page.
