This is the older one. I think his name was Donald but I could be wrong on that. Millie liked him.

That's me. On the far right is a tiny wooden red chair that Nancy used to sit in. That basket is also ours. A lot of times in our growing up years we picked crops. We did it for ourselves because in those days it was cheaper. Now if you "pick your own" it usually costs more. We picked apples at Hicks Orchards. We picked tomatoes and strawberries in other places. We were raised to know what wild nuts and fruits were edible and when ever we found a place we would gather the nuts and fruits. I loved gathering nuts. I like the strawberry picking because we were allowed back then to eat some in the field. I didn't like picking tomatoes because they vines made me itch and if I scratched it would swell up and be green from the vines. I probably wasn't allergic but it made a good excuse so I wouldn't have to pick them.
