This is the burro tail plant. It's still alive and seems to be doing fine. I sprinkled crushed egg shells around to discourge the slugs which eat everything.
Those root like things are leftover roots from plants I stuck in here a month ago and they died. I don't think they were alive when I stuck them in there in the first place.
