Another Yesterday
Yesterday, while running through the meadow
I found a nest of spotted birds eggs.
I saved the memory to share with you,
Along with other memories of other days
And times I walked the meadow without you.
The warmth of your smile
Was like the summer sun
That shines on the meadow.
There's a bird singing somewhere.
I know you'll soon be here.
I can feel it vibrating through the trees.
I can even hear you calling me.
The wind is a great carrier of love notes.
The sweet perfume of apple blossoms,
Blends with cow trampled grass.
It's our perfume, our sweet love scents,
Bringing all those golden moments,
Winging from the past.
I treasure every moment
Spent with you.
They are silver dew drops,
Strung on a spider web.
When dark times come to me,
I take out my chain of memories,
From the secret pocket of my heart.
Each silver dew drop is a treasure
Bringing you back to me.
