Milky Way
2 c Sugar
1/2 c Light Corn Syrup
1/2 c Water
2 T Water
1 pinch Salt
2 Egg Whites
35 Unwrapped Caramels
1/4 c Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
24 oz Milk Chocolate Chips

In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar corn syrup, 1/2 c water, and salt.
Stir often until the mixture begins to boil.
Continue cooking using a thermometer to monitor temperature.
Beat egg whites until they form stiff peaks.
When the sugar mixture reaches 270 degrees remove from heat.
Pour in thin strands over egg whites, mixing on low speed.
Continue mixing about 20 minutes, until the mixture thickens to the consistency of dough.
Add the chocolate chips. The mixture will not get any thicker after you add the chocolate.
When the chocolate chips are completely blended into the candy, press the mixture into a 9 inch square pan.
Refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes.
Heat the caramels with the remaining water in a small saucepan until thoroughly melted.
Pour the caramel over the nougat.
Refrigerate about 30 minutes until caramel is firm.
Melt milk chocolate chips in microwave until melted.
Cut candy down the center of the pan and then 7 times across to form 14 bars.
Dip each bar into chocolate on the end of a fork.
Place bars on wax paper and cool at room temperature until set, 1 to 2 hours.
