The Burning of the Deadwood
Tom and Jacque got roped into this, I think because they were the newest members. Bill was there too and another guy.
Once they cut all the brush, the others left. Jacque and Diane left after awhile and it was up to Tom and I think Bill for awhile to burn the stuff.
Mike and Tommy playing in the dirt. I tried to fix this picture because it had glue on it but I didn't do too well. Mike is Diane's son not Tommy's cousin Mike who is Barb's son.
They had tonka trucks they filled with dirt.

Diane's other son Ed. He accidently got chopped. I doubt I took this one but I could have.
They started some of it burning here.
Those brown rectangles in the photo are these things below. They somehow used wheel bases to make individual burn pits for campers. I used one in this next photo to make macaroni and cheese for dinner.
It came out rather well but I think there was one spot that got too hot and singed a little.
Even the kids helped to pile it up.
Tom and Bill and I think this was here but I could be wrong.
The last burn of the day and we stayed till it was all out and Tom covered it with dirt to be sure nothing reignighted.
