This was a day when I went alone to walk home with him. Sometimes we didn't go straight home but would walk over to Ruby's or go to the park after we got a snack.

I have forgotten the names of all these kids.

This little boy was his friend for awhile but his Mom was one of those involved in the computer scam.

I think there are more of these. Tom came to one of the Field day events. It rained that day so they did some things inside instead.

The school held a sportsman's symposium. Tom's black powder shooters club set up a display of firearms. Not what you could do in a school today, for sure.

The school nurse and Judy, the lady who was in charge of student activities. I got fed up with all the fundraisers where they bribed the kids by saying they would would win prizes for how much they sold. They would take the catalogues home and pressure all their relatives to buy a bunch of over priced stuff nobody wanted.

One day I told them I didn't want my son involved in that. I didn't want him pressured into thinking he had to go door to door and sell to strangers or he wouldn't get a plastic mug.

I think he was embarrassed about the whole thing. Instead of just letting him go to the library or something like that, they took him out of class and made him sit in the nurses office while the assembly was going on. If I'd known, I would have just kept him home that day.

One of the Pride awards was celebrated with a trip to the local bowling alley. This is Tom with the principal.

As a room mother I went along with his class when they went to the Erie Zoo. This is my little group. They did have fun.
