I never saw the water this shade. I find it hard to believe that it could be really that blue today. It was always the grayish color of the other photos.
In the summer it did get crowded but once again it was never this blue. Also, I see the cut has been widened a lot.

Some years after we left they did a mock D-Day on the beach for a historical reenactment. I would have liked to have seen that.
